Canyoning
The more adventurous can find in the Ribeira Grande some of the best canyoning routes on the island. Along the stream that gave the city its name, routes with different levels of difficulty and unique beauty can be taken. In Lombadas you can enjoy an imposing waterfall along with small iron springs. In Salto do Cabrito, more suitable for beginners, you can enjoy various rappels and small waterfalls on a trail that runs side by side with the trail of the same name.
